Hi David,

A cracking capture all-round - great composition, subject pose/ movement, control of light, fine detail, eye-pop - and those fabulous reflections!

Thank you for sharing... :)

The lighting is nice.

How I wish Canon would let us record the compass direction of our shots. I'll 'guess' that I was facing south with the sun coming in from NE.

The GPS data of bird photos is included in the metadata but direction is always straight up or straight down, depending on how my iPhone was stowed in my zippered back pocket!

I've added location and time below the photo.

… David

Hi Cemal,

Once again, the colours and lighting are very pleasing to the eye - we seem to have missed the 'carpet of shapes and colours' phase out in our local woods this time round and gone straight to sludge. (November sometimes brings 'angel beam' mornings, so we're clinging on to that hope... :) ).

Anyway, enough about central England - these images will lift any spirits, so thank you for sharing!

Thank you, P&K. I may post some reflection photographs but small sizes do not show the intricate details. I'll think about that.

Our final images for this month, captured during a recent visit to Chester Zoo, Chester, England.

(Shot raw and processed using: DxO PhotoLab Elite and Adobe Lightroom Classic/ Photoshop).

Note - due to the use of multi-shot compilations, the exif info shown may be misleading - these are a mix of R5 (Phil) and R7 (Karen).

Inka, a rare black Jaguar, arrived in August this year, having moved from The Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent. (Unfortunately, it appears she doesn’t get on terribly well with Napo, the existing resident male Jaguar).
