At the start of 'this and that' in 2020 we began to do early walks through our local woods (we still do) and one morning we looked up to see 2 very young owlets staring down at us from a nest very high in the trees. We grabbed a shot (or 2) but didn't overstay our welcome and moved on. Long story short, we saw them almost every morning for the next 6-7 weeks and they got so used to us that by the end they were flying across to where we stood (in one instance, Karen had to back off to be able to fit one of them in the frame of her 7DII/ EF 100-400!!). A very special time we'll never repeat, but this was a really nice surprise...
