It’s not fair, they say thanks for the food now but come spring it’s “begone I’ve got berries and worms to find and I don’t want you peeking at my little ones!” When that is exactly what we want to do!Hi Hali,
Cheers - much appreciated!
It's always a joy at this time of year - an enjoyable walk with a fine purpose.
(The symbiotic relationship of photographers and birds in winter - of course, come summer they won't want to know us... ).

Hi Hali,View attachment 34042View attachment 34043Last June I watched the first day of the Red Bull Cliff Diving Competition in Boston. The men dove from a 27M platform and the women from 21M. It was thrilling and terrifying watching them go into the harbor past the glass and steel high rises in the city. Here are two of the very many images I am finally getting around to.
A lovely set of images, just something about Robins that fill me with much cheer, they are super little birds, often feisty not afraid to punch above their weight. It's that time of year here again, so a few more images from recent mud and ice infused strolls around the woods in Hartshill, Warwickshire, England.
(Shot raw and processed using: DxO PL Elite, Adobe LrC/ PS with Tony Kuyper Panels and Topaz Labs Photo AI).
[Workflow: LrC (Import raw/ weeding/ selection) -> raw via plug-in -> DxO PLE (Custom Preset for basic processing - inc. Camera Rendering, Lens Profile, NR) -> DNG -> LrC (minor tweaks/ Crop) -> TIFF -> PS -> TIFF via plug-in -> TPA (minor NR to background, minor Sharpening to subject) -> TIFF -> PS (TK9 Panels - Vignette/ minor subject Spotlight, subtle selective Paint Contrast using 15% opacity Brush. Resized to forum format) -> TIFF -> LrC (Keywording/ Export etc)].

Thanks, Phil. You made me laugh!! Thankfully no one was hurt the day I watched, but I heard the next day there was a dislocated knee and a neck injury from a bad landing. They have to land feet first for safety, I assume. Saftey being a relative term.Hi Hali,
Crikey. Amazing images of breath-taking feats of bravery and talent (hopefully involving happy landings) - beautifully captured and perfectly presented.
(Karen would absolutely love to have a go at this activity, but if I hit the water from 27 metres up, tsunami warnings would soon follow... ).

What a beautiful portrait!
I have been following Alan Brown Photography for a few years in an F-stoppers community group: "Minimalism, Abstract, Experimental" and it is great to see the creativity.
Thanks!What a beautiful portrait!
Hi Frank,
Hi Nick,A lovely set of images, just something about Robins that fill me with much cheer, they are super little birds, often feisty not afraid to punch above their weight.
Thanks Phil!Hi Frank,
A wonderful portrait which captures a treasure trove of character and joy.
Terrific control of the light, with rich subject detail (including superb eye catch-light!) and a pleasing pastel colour palette.
Well done - and thank you for sharing...

Great images, Phil and Karen! That first one in the woods is just spectacular. The other black and white is so moody and ethereal. I love the birds, especially that first one of the robin (? I think, it's so different than ours). Hope you are out having a good time!‘Out of Office’ - We will shortly be away for a few days and will be unable to provide feedback until we return. Until then, keep having lots of fun...
In the meantime, some images from a recent wood and canal walk around Hartshill, Warwickshire, England.
