Your Photo of the Week

Week 30. A female great spotted woodpecker in the garden being photobombed by some sheep! Fortunately we have a pair so are hoping to see some little ones soon too. They are quite flighty birds though.

One from this evening, steel wool, whisk, battery and willing victim..🤣
I always find these steel wool images to be so captivating and a little daunting! Very cool image, I like how it's almost bounded by a box.

Thanks Hali, a subway or culvert gives the best effect imo, not too good for the victim in the middle though lol

Week 21
Gave into my POMT syndrome (Princess of Many Things) and got the RF 14-35 f/4 for an upcoming trip. To my utter surprise and delight, it has absolutely no hot spots when mounted on my full spectrum IR camera and used with the 720nm filter. This is one of my series called "My Neighbor's Sheds"

Week 52 - Challenge Complete - This challenge has been fun. Thanks Timothy. I enjoyed the challenge and appreciated the flexibility with the time-frame. This is a Western Kingbird.
Congratulations Kathryn! I know it's not the easiest of challenges. What a beautiful bird and image to complete the challenge on as well! :) You may not of noticed but I renamed this thread to: "Photo of the Week + 52 Week Challenge". So you are more than welcome to keep posting your favourite weekly shots if you like to.

Thanks so much Timothy. You are correct I did not notice the change/addition to the name of the challenge. That is great.

What a pretty bird! I love the framing of it with the soft green really focusing me up and into the bird!
Thank you Hali. They are pretty little birds, quite vocal too! :)

Lovely shot! I hope you had a fantastic time there! Definitely on my list of destinations to visit when the kids are a little older.
