This is the first time for a few years that we've enjoyed some sustained owlet sightings. When the pandemic first struck we came upon 2 very young ones peering down at us from high in the trees, we grabbed a couple of (dodgy) long-range shots and with a cheery 'hello mateys' left them in peace. Long story short, we saw them most mornings for the next 6 weeks, by the end of which they were so used to seeing us they actually flew down to meet us when we wandered by - Karen, who had a 7DII/ EF100-400LII combo at the time, had to back off to be able to fit them in the frame. A wonderful experience.
(The current pair of youngsters are nowhere near that relaxed, but they've been joy to spot and observe/ photograph - 'hidden objects' in the woods...
