I snapped this little dipper looking for its breakfast down at our local river this morning.

Hi Tim,

What a little cutie! Well seen and caught - excellent fine feather detail and that all important eye catch-light. (And a great drip!).

Thank you for sharing... :)

The composition has more than a hint of 'miniature effect' - was this a processing decision, or the result of the settings?

Dancing Juveniles

A pair of immature bald eagles at play/practice. I just with there was more to the composition than blue skies, but that were they were.

Cheers P&K :) Other than a little shadow recovery in LR there was no other processing done. I think it was just the low angle combined with 500mm, they were only around 5 meters away from me as well. The flippy screen of the R5 definitely made the low angle a lot more comfortable.

Tussock and tops from the Danseys Pass road (only a preliminary edit, this one).

A good time was had by all.

Hi Dean,

Well seen and caught! Two masters of the air - incredible how they stay aloft!

As for the backdrop, if only we'd known we could have offered to swap your pleasant blue sky for some moody grim clouds - of which we have a surplus...

HI Gareth,

A fascinating set of images, with plenty of interest for the viewer. However, the first shot is an absolute stunner...

(That's quite a neighbourhood you've got there!).

I recently saw a photography that some people loved of an African Elephant on the savannah during the sunset casting a harsh shadow 45° to the horizon.

Hi Dean,

We‘ve got some images of African sunsets that would do a very nice job.

(Sadly, they’re from our Sony RX10IV’s - so not suitable for posting here).
